“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he hath visited and redeemed his people.”- Luke 1: 68
Christmas remains the greatest of holy days for we Christians. Its message is indispensable because Christmas has the profoundest and the most profound and appealing message for human life.
1. In the first place, Christmas brings the promise of great light and new life. In a time of the year when weather is its coldest, Christmas forever brings the promise of warmth, light and new life.
2. Secondly, another message of Christmas is that it reminds us that compassionate and caring human beings do make a difference in the world. Our compassion does make a difference!
3. Finally, there is a third message concerning Christmas that teaches us an astounding lesson. It is the lesson that the measureless power of God is made known in the tender birth of the Child Jesus.
The eternal message of Christmas is that the God of the manger teaches every life with the power of tender mercy. What a timeless message that is!
